Born and raised in Wisconsin, Joe’s journey has taken him from the bustling city of Los Angeles, where he worked as a biomedical engineer, to the tranquil vineyards of the west coast and beyond. His travels and experiences in wine country, both domestically and internationally, sparked a passion that led him to reconsider his career path.
After an inspiring harvest season in Paso Robles, Joe was captivated by the art of winemaking. This newfound love prompted a career switch and a return to academia. He pursued a master’s degree in Viticulture and Enology at UC Davis, equipping himself with the knowledge and skills necessary for his new venture.
Post-graduation, Joe has worked harvests across the globe, from the Sonoma Coast to Germany and New Zealand, gaining invaluable experience and honing his craft. Upon his return to the United States, he found his home in the Willamette Valley. Since 2018, he has been an integral part of the winemaking team, contributing his expertise and passion to every bottle. His journey from engineer to winemaker is a testament to his dedication and love for the craft.
