Taylor grew up in western Washington and has always had a passion for the outdoors and science. He was able to combine both of his passions by studying Viticulture & Enology at Washington State University, focusing on soil science and organic farming methods. During his last semester of college, Taylor worked at Four Feathers Winery in Prosser, WA. After graduation, Taylor had the opportunity to work in Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand with Villa Maria. It was there that he found his love of mineral driven Chardonnay. After New Zealand, Taylor worked in Sonoma, CA at Roche Winery gaining experience with Pinot noir and Chardonnay, from vine to bottle. Wanting to be a little closer to friends and family in WA, Taylor moved to the urban wine scene in Woodinville with DeLille Wines. He has now officially found home in the Willamette Valley, and after a vintage with Adelsheim Vineyards, he has joined the cellar team at Lingua Franca.
